Bizrate Survey API uses the OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication and authorization.
This article will go over how to request an access token so that it can be used to retrieve survey data. For more information on the API, please check out our ReadMe documentation.
Requesting Access Token
POST Bizrate Survey API uses a Basic HTTP Base64 encoded header authorization format.
After obtaining the OAuth 2.0 credentials from the client manager, as shown in the previous guide, your client application can request an access token using the client id and client secret. The ‘Authorization‘ field of your HTTPS header request must include “Basic” along with the API key, which is clientId:clientSecret. The API key must be Base64 encoded. Once the access is granted, it can be used for subsequent requests to Bizrate Survey API for exactly one hour.

Click on the Authorization tab and then change the type to OAuth 2.0. Make sure that the authorization data is added to the request headers.
In the configuration options, set the Grant Type field to Client Credentials and enter to the access token endpoint (https://api.bizratesurveys.com/token) to the Access Token URL field. The client id and client secret fields should be entered with the credentials that you have received from the client manager console. After entering the values for the fields mentioned above, you can then request for the access token by clicking on the Get New Access Token button.
Upon clicking the button, there should be a popup containing the access token. Click on Use Token and now it will be added to the authorization header of subsequent requests to Bizrate Survey API.
